With physical runway shows making a comeback this year, designers across the Milan and Paris Fashion Week opted for bolder looks, statement colours and captivating textures for Spring/Summer 2022. From iterations of black liner, neon hues, metallic tones to classic retro glam and chic hairstyles — we round up the best beauty trends for the upcoming season.
1. Aqua Liner: Giorgio Armani MFW
No-fuss flicks of aqua across the eyes shined through the radiantly minimal face. A pile of tiny braids gave way to a gorgeous updo, making a statement.
2. Double Wings: Dior PFW
Brushed-up brows framed the face at Dior and took it notches above with two flicks of the black liner from the upper and lower lash line. The rest of the face including the lips were kept minimal.
3. Neon Eyes: Versace MFW
Dramatic fluorescent swirls in lime and aqua across the eyes teamed with glossy lips created magic at the Versace show. Retro halfway pulled back hair complemented the look.
4. Thick and Thin Liner: Courreges PFW
The experimentative variation of winged eyeliner involved drawing thick cat wings on the upper lid followed by an extra thin line closer to the lash line towards the inner corner of the eyes.
5. White Eyeliner: John Richmond MFW
Old Hollywood glam meets punk twist with a horizontal white line drawn outward, away from the eyes. This easy to achieve look will take you from day to night with little experiments of your own.
6. Hint of Rust: Victoria/Tomas PFW
Rusty shade of orange was blended in a dewy formula on the eyelids, cheeks and lips. Polished slicked back hair made for a neat statement.
7. Winged Eyeliner and Wet Curls: Missoni MFW
Wet curls scorched the runway in varied styles. Seen here is saturated wet curls on mullet hairstyle paired with the timeless winged eyeliner.
8. Bubblegum Hues: Weinsato PFW
Hot pink shade was blended on the eyelids and cheeks. A braided heart-shaped crown in the same colour was added up for a statement hair accessory.
9. Peachy Eyes and Burgundy Lips: Drome MFW
A peachy pastel hue is drawn along the lashline for a vivacious look. It’s paired with deep burgundy lips to create a statement look.
